I've had my stinger about a month now and the Idle Start Stop worked at first. I know I want it off most of the time but it hasn't kicked in in a long time and I cannot get it to turn the engine off when I come to a stop any more. I'm curious if there are certain parameters that have to be met for the engine to turn off at a stop. I'm mostly in ECO, comfort or Smart mode. I come to a stop and the A light comes on the dash and the light above the OFF button lights up. When I take off the lights go out. Again I'm just curious how do I make it work because I don't push the button on startup or any other time except trying to turn it on while its lit up.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

many parameters . in most cases.. probably the battery charge or outdoor temperature.

I figured engine temp had something to do with it but never thought outdoor temp did. I bet now that its below 25 F thats what is different!
Thank you!

I would imagine that outside temp being too hot or too cold is because in those conditions you rely more on the A/C or heater, and either one is a contra-indication to turning the engine off.
I used to own a Ford Fusion hybrid, and if running the heater on a very cold day, the engine would not shut off either. The A/C is different, it is actually an electric compressor driven from the HV battery. The thing sounded like a jet engine under the hood spooling up when you first turned it on.
