Have any of you with HUD heard/seen anything like this?

Once a few months ago and then again today, I was driving along my local boulevard when all of a sudden "dingdingdingdingdingding." Both times, an orange image with maybe two short words above it appeared in the right side of my HUD. I wear trifocals, and both times traffic was just bad enough that I wasn't able to safely adjust my view on the words or the image fast enough to see what it was. Maybe the image looked like the front of a car? not sure. Anyway, it repeated the series of dings about three times, and then poof! Gone. When I could look at my dash display safely, there was nothing indicating a problem there.

I've had the car since 2017 and have never seen anything like this before these two times. I've looked in the manual, I've looked at both Stinger and Genesis HUD videos online, and nothing is even remotely like what I'm seeing. The only other time I've heard dinging like that was, I think, when my collision avoidance system was activated by, evidently, trash blowing in front of the sensor on a windy day several years ago, but no brakes were activated this time, and the collision light is to the left of the display, right? (And I was nowhere near anything this time.)

Scared the heck out me, and I'd appreciate some intelligent things to say to the service rep when I go in for routine maintenance in a week or two, so they don't just treat me like a clueless old lady.

Sounds like the impending crash warning, where you by chance a little too close to someone's bumper?

the dingdingdingdingding is the collision detection. you can turn down the sensitivity in the cluster, but if it has only gone off twice for you, i'd say it's set ok.

Not near any other vehicle, front, back, either side. Nothing in the road that could have triggered it, either. Isn't the crash warning to the left side of the screen, not the right?
