How To Update Firmware?

So what is the proper way to update the firmware of the JB4.

I have the JB4 with the connect kit and I want to install the V17 firmware. It says I need to have the engine off but have power to the JB4. In the Stinger when I press start and put the car in accessory mode, I can't connect to the JB4 which I assume means it is not getting power.

Any help if appreciated. It is probably something simple I am not doing but I haven't figured it out yet.

Okay, got it. I didn't realize that to put the car into accessory mode I needed to press the start button twice while not pressing the brake pedal.

Updated firmware to the V17 beta.
