What exactly does HDA do for me? I am having a hard time discerning what it does.

It seems that all features that are available with HDA are also available on roads that do not qualify for HDA. All I can discern is two features work differently:
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) works all the way to 0 MPH. Without HDA, LKA seems to stop working under around 40 MPH?
  • Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go does not require me to hit the accelerator or use the steering wheel resume button when stopped.
Are there any other differences?

In case it matters, I do not use the car's built-in navigation. I only use Waze.

In HDA mode, the car nags you far less frequently to nudge the wheel, and another feature difference is if you set cruise control to the limit, it will auto-change the set speed as you move from one speed zone to another.
