G'day. Wifey and I test drove a 3.3 GT today in Brisbane. Have to say I loved it. Sales person did come with us and drove it out of dealership, and was bit a surprised as raining today and she got it sideways for a second exiting the driveway and then must have hit 60km/h about a second later. Interior is so much nicer than my Ranger which is just all hard plastics. Just trying to decide on colour now as the red, blue and yellow not available with the red leather interior on the GT. It's going to be a family car and Ranger kept only for off roading and camping. We do lots of long trips up and down the coast in south east QLD, so it really suits as a gran tourer for me, and coming from a street machine type background, I wanted something engaging to drive & refined. I still have my 69 hardtop for those sunny sunday cruises also.
Probably will go with the snow white pearl and red interior. Going to skip the exhaust and get something decent and free flowing when more hit the market. Will match it up with a intake and maybe some different wheels & tyres. Something I didn't know is that the dealership told me Gary Rogers Motorsport is going to campaining them this year in the Supercars as now open to turbo sixes.
