So I'm about to purchase some drag radials and there is an optional add-on cost to heat cycle them. Is it worthwhile to do this or just a waste of money?

How serious are you about your track times? The compound will be more normalized right out of the gate, so you won't have to do as much break in on the tires.
Of course, break in == smoke, so most people enjoy that part.

It's supposed to provide grip benefits. You can heat cycle them yourself at the track by bringing them up to temp after some runs and then removing them from the car for a day or two which will give you a similar result. If you want them to perform as best as possible for your first trip to the track I'd say it's worth having them do it unless they're charging a bunch of cash for it.

Thanks guys, it was $15 per tire so I went ahead and did it. Hoping to get down into the 11s :p
