Headlight has a yellowish green line at top and bottom

Hello all. Not sure if this is normal or not. My head lights have a yellowish green line at the top and bottom and when projected you can see it on the road. Not sure if this is normal. My vehicle was at the dealership for 3 months a due to repairs and just sat in the sun. Not sure if it was baked or if it could be a coolant spill as i did find coolant on the headlight housing when I picked it up. They also tend to fog up so possibly that could be the issue? Pictures for reference. I washed the headlights to see if it was something on the surface and it wasn't. Just can't remember if it was like this as I just got it back recently.

It's normal; you're seeing a prismatic effect common with projector headlights; have you ever noticed oncoming cars having this yellow-to-violet flicker in their headlights until they get close? That's what people are seeing in the distance when you're driving toward them in your Stinger.

Some makers (notably Saab) used to intentionally put a diffusing coating on the projector lens to soften or eliminate that color spectrum line which is caused by refraction of light. When I defogged the internals of the headlamps in our 9-3 I took the projector lens out and buffed off the coatings to get that nice sharp cutoff (they used the same projector, apart from the coating, that is in some BMW models) to reduce glare for oncoming drivers when I installed the brightest LEDs I could find and I end up with a super-sharp cutoff, but with the rainbow effect at the cutoff. It's a tradeoff; you can either have a sharp cutoff, or you can eliminate that rainbow by diffusing the light at the front of the projector lens but increased glare.

Thanks for the reply and informative description. I did also raise the headlights a few months before it sat at the dealership for repair so it looks more noticeable to me now. I appreciate it. Thanks very much.
