Has anyone used the phone app's remote honk function before delivery ?

Hey guys,

First post in the community. I'm just done doing the setup for UVO on my cellphone and while my GT2 is due for delivery tomorrow, I felt the urge to press the honk/light button just for fun (I didn't do it). Has anyone ever done that ?

How did the dealership guys react ?

That's not very nice! LOL. I actually wouldn't dare to use the honk/light button unless I really needed to because the app usually take a whole minute to issue a command to the car (it's very slow), I'd be the guy in the parking lot with the car honking for a whole minute.

I've actually wondered if when you vehicle is undergoing maintenance or repair, if the technicians are able to turn off the UVO app functionality? You could theoretically hit the start/stop button on the app, triggering the car to turn on when a technician is working on it, or changing the oil, etc. Although I would imagine having the hood open would disconnect the start/stop functionality? So many questions lol.

That's a good question.

The app seems able to detect when the hood is open. I wanted to take a screenshot of that, and it looks like the hood was open just when I went for the screenshot !



I believe most engine-related commands won't work if the car is not all "green" (all doors closed, hood closed, etc.).
