Has anyone tried CUP 2 tires on the track with the Stinger? (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2)

I'm seeing some craigslist bargains on Cup 2 tires and it piqued my interest. Would it make any difference considering the stinger isn't a track car and way down on HP/weight vs sports cars that would usually run Cup 2's?
I've already got a set of PS4* tires waiting for next years tracking season, but you know what they say about idle hands...
