Handing Off to Waze Hit or Miss on S7 Edge

2018 Premium with 15 speaker audio... I have a Samsung S7 Edge and when I hit the voice command button and say Drive to XXXXX it says handing off to Waze and then sometimes after it finds the location on the Waze screen the Google Dots just stays on top and it hangs up the screen. Anyone else have this happen ?

That happens to me sometimes when I start the app in my garage. I figured it's because my phone is connected to my houses WiFi and trying to use data to connect to GPS?

Anyway, when it happens I either pull out of the garage and down the road a bit to try again or just revert to Google Maps.

It seems to work fine now as long as I tap the Android Auto button and change to that mode first. It's just when I use the voice command before entering Android Auto mode. I think Google and Waze have trouble communicating less specific locations like when you say "Drive to a town name".
