Footwell lighting

Hi folks! I have a 22 Elite/GT2 and noticed that at night my footwell lighting is active all the time. i think it dims when in drive but it’s definitely on. It’s white in colour (not the same as the ambient lighting). Can anyone confirm if this is normal? Am I missing a setting where it can be turned off when in driving?

Yes this is normal. I put in aftermarket LED foot well lighting so I put some electric tape over mine because the white annoyed me.

One of my camaro's came with footwell lighting and it "looked cool" on the inside...except driving at night as hell. I disconnected it.

Good to know it’s not a malfunction and I’m not missing a setting that turns it off. I don’t mind it when in park but I don’t see the rationale or need for it when driving. I guess if I don’t get used to it some gorilla tape will take care of it.
