It was decent out today and I had to get the dealership decal off my car, so after a closer look I found what appears to be a film on the front bumper, it surrounds the kia badge. It looks like its coming off. I have only had the car for 10 days.

Called the dealership and they said it was there to protect paint, I said I have had the car for a little over a week. He said to check my window sticker and see if some sort of exterior protectant was listed. Nothing is there.

So does anyone know what this is? Does anyone else have this on their car?
My first instinct is that its protective film for dealer transport? I have had 3 new cars but never seen this. Attached are some pics. Thanks for any information!
I am heading back to the dealer on Tuesday.
Thanks!

Was paint protection a listed cost on your sticker? I have the same on mine. Also, along the top of the rear bumper? The rear piece has Stinger written into it. I forget the up charge but I had “paint protection” noted on the sticker.

Ah I see that's probably it , I checked the sticker and didn't see it but ill look again. I did see the film in the door handles and trunk.

Any idea how to deal with this stuff, should I wax over it?
Does it come off easily if needed?

Apply wax or whatever paint care you use on the rest of the vehicle. Heat (hair dryer) and patience to remove. Can be a PITA to get the stuff off, especially the adhesive residue.
