Factory BOV/Charge Pipe 2.0T & 3.3T ?

Your opinion is counter to my experience. My 2016 Fiesta ST is my latest experience moving to a K&N drop-in, replacement filter. And it made a difference. In that car (and perhaps still in the Stinger GT), replacing the intake outright made almost no difference in performance on the stock turbo.
Are we talking a difference in performance or sound? Sorry just wanted to clarify

I was talking strictly about sound. Performance varies by vehicle. I tend to trust K&N's claims there when they choose to document them with a dyno. I like to think that it at least improves throttle response slightly. But that may all be in my head. ;)

I'm not trying to argue or anything but running an open element filter WILL out-sound a drop in panel filter. No opinion there, that's fact. One is open and the other is a closed sealed system

Best way to utilize bolt-ons as you know is tune after! You may see some small changes after the install

I think my point got lost here. Perhaps I wasn't making it clear. The K&N drop-in, panel filter has proven to me to have louder intake and blow-off sounds than the OEM panel filter. The full K&N Typhoon system is certainly loudest of the three. My point was that if the Typhoon is TOO loud, their drop-ins may give more of said noise than folks get from sticking with the OEM panel filters.

Hope that clears it up.

Sure. It looks like you can sign up to be notified when they have new products available right here. This link should be good for the 3.3T
According to Amazon there's already a filter that will fit.

Model number is RU-5163.

I just don't know if it's worth the time if the difference will hardly be noticeable.

Yeah, but that's not a drop-in replacement like we were talking about. That's just a universal clamp-on. Just like what the Typhoon kit has, but you'd need the Typhoon kit to use these. And it would definitely make a difference, sound-wise!
The question is if a 1:1 panel replacement would offer anything...

Other than reuseability? Not really
