So, I got my feet stuck on my pant leg and crashed the Stinger GT2 into the interior back wall of the garage. Lots of items located before the actual wall but the car is a mess. Long story short, $12,500 to get it fixed. Dumb move and will not happen again. Good thing my husband's 1996 Impala SS was not in the garage at the time.

A classic example of $HIT HAPPENS! I’m so sorry you had this happen! On the bright side - you are AOK (right?... say it’s so). As much as we Love our Stingers - still a Car.... and replaceable. You’ll be all repaired and in time, and this will be another “remember that time” moment. Best of luck. db

So who pays to fix the house? Auto or homeowners policy?

If homeowners policy covers it then it will be a lot better.

It'll keep the premium on the auto policy down but I bet the homeowners policy has a nasty deductible compared to the auto.

You do not want to see that. Nobody wants to see that.

People have pulled their own eyes out for less.

Can't help but wonder what might have happened out on the road, around pedestrians perhaps.

I used to drive nekkid - I loved the feeling of cool air and freedom...

Now, I'm not allowed anywhere near the Zamboni!

I am fine. Car is not. House is ok, hit all the junk in the garage before the wall. No ETA on car fix. Auto insurance paying for car fix.

I reckon repairing the car is less expensive than your house would be! Collecting "junk" has become a virtue! ;) :p

Waaaaaaait a minute, what about the autonomous braking and the other safety junk? I figure if it can sense a pedestrian, surely it could see a wall?
