Hi all, I'd like to know if any other owners have seen a similar issue to what I'm having.

A bit of background, I own a 2023 Stinger GT RWD (3.3ltr). Car runs great, however the fuel consumption seems quite high. I've owned performance cars in the past, so have some point of reference. I'm usually running in sports mode (80%) and comfort (20%) of the time. I'm having fun with the car, so yes I probably drive a little bit heavier than the average.

But current fuel consumption is around 5km/Ltr or 11.76mpg for lets say city driving. Lots of stop starts. Is this high? Pretty normal? Just looking for some feedback here. Highway driving it seems within spec. around the 8km/ltr or 18-19 mpg.

My main concern however is the soot that's being blown out the exhaust. I washed my car one afternoon then drove to my office (less than 5km from my home) and it was covered in soot again. I'll post some pictures shortly. I'm not talking about the inside of the exhaust, but over the rear bumper.

My first though is over fueling. This may also explain my fuel usage. I'm aware of the spark plug gap issue, which may also be a cause?

Is this a warranty issue you think? Do I just have a heavy foot, and the soot is nothing to worry about? I have seen a local mechanic who thinks this may be a warranty issue. I didn't want to go back to the dealer until I have some evidence that something is definitely wrong.

Any and all input welcome ;)
