Drag/Acceleration E-Brake method - Are there possible risks ?

I know the brake snip can break things up considering the amount of torque you put down when you launch it, but I'm curious about the e-brake method.

Has anyone broke anything or experienced lower E-Brake efficiency after using this method ?
