Drive with broken front lateral arm?

Slammed into a curb and broke my front left lateral arm. Mechanic is 1.4 miles away. Can i drive it there or do i risk destroying it if i try? Thanks guys!

Make sure you pull it onto a flatbed; do not tow (manual warns about this).
