DIY intake?

So if I make my own kit, the 1 hose on each side looks like it goes to the blow off valve( in the front by the water pump), can I just remove the hose and vent to the atmosphere or will that throw a code?

Most people with diy intake replace the stock airbox only. Check this thread out for ideas. As for oem blow off, you can remove the hose and not cause a code.
