With the ambiguity regarding cylinder numbering on the Stinger's V6 (saw a reference to cylinder 3 on the driver's side in the oil line recall doc), I decided to disconnect the middle driver's side (right bank facing the engine bay, left bank from inside) coil pack, shown with red arrow below:

At startup it was obvious that I was down a cylinder, with the open hood visibly shaking at ~1000 rpm. Not sure if rpm was up there to compensate, or just because it was a cold start...I didn't run it like this very long. Check engine light was on, and my ODBII reader pulled a P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire detected code (the $07e8 just indicates it's coming from the engine module):

It's hard to see in pictures, but the passenger bank (left facing engine bay) cylinders are forward of the driver's side, so this is consistent with numbering them front to back, alternating banks. And I believe firing order is a simple 1-2-3-4-5-6:

Just so odd that it took this long for somebody to think of what you did and just answer the dumb question. Nobody else even suggested disconnecting the plug to see. Heh!

I had Cyl 1/3/5 misfire pop up once, the car had no go and ran like shit until i stopped and restarted it 1km later.

I pulled the code but it has never happened before or since.
