Hey guys,

So I recently bought a GT Limited, love it but the infotainment does a couple things that annoy the hell out of me.

When I disconnect my phone while I'm playing music using Spotify on Android auto it will switch to AM radio instead of Bluetooth audio. How do I make it switch to Bluetooth audio since my music isn't paused or even how do I make it just not search for another media source after I've disconnected the phone even if the music wasn't paused.

The reverse is also true. When I get in the car I start it first then connect my phone, the few seconds in between this the car will play the radio before Android auto loads.

Is there anyway to disable AM/FM radio or stop the system from searching for media to play when nothing's plugged in?

I've just gotten into the habit of turning the audio off before disconnecting the phone when getting out of the car. When I get back in the car, I connect the phone back before turning on the audio, but I also specifically start the audio with the "mode" button on the steering wheel, rather than the radio power button. Not sure why this works, but it always goes back into CarPlay if I use that mode button.

Not sure if you want this method but you could disable AM/FM completely. Otherwise, have you already tried making Bluetooth your default media source?

When you plug in your phone the car disables its BT (for some annoying reason) so when you unplug the phone, it takes some time to reactivate BT and connect to your phone. That's why it's not possible to go from carplay straight to BT media.
