My DBL (Dynamic Bending Light) went on after I went through a car wash. The manual says the way to fix it is to reboot the engine. If this doesn't work, the only solution listed is to go to the Kia dealership.
What actually is the problem with it?
Is it something that I can repair myself?

Year make model mileage, warranty status?, what are we working with here?
Do you have either code DTC:
  • B232509
  • B232609
If you are outside of warranty, follow the attached.

Mine was within my extended warranty (mileage at the time was 113k KMS), so the lazy Kia dealer just replaced my whole headlight assembly rather than replacing the desiccant and bracket.

Only $3,876.89 for this specific warranty claim... (I paid only $2,601 for the extended warranty)

Guaranteed this is the problem. There is a dessicant in the light assembly that is probably expanded and rock hard and needs replacing along with the plastic part as is outlined in TSB (link to pdf below). Even if the DTC are not coming up, I’m sure it is your problem. It was for me and J didn’t have the DTC code appear. fixed it myself, but is a bit tricky. It cost like 60$ for parts, I bought extra dessinants since will probably have to do it again in the future. I bought my parts online straight from Korea. there is a separate post about this on this forum I think.
