Noticed an issue the past week or so where my interior back lights on the switches (climate control, radio controls, etc) are flashing on an off when the headlight switch is in the Auto mode. The lights on the switches are going on and off, and when that happens, even turning the headlight switch to the "Off" position doesn't stop the problem. Only way to clear it is to put the headlight switch in either Parking Lights On or Headlights On mode, which then keeps the dash light switches on. I gather the "Auto Lights On" sensor is bad, getting a shadow, or is dirty, and keeps turning the lights on and off. Anyone experience this issue? Where is the sensor? I'd like to check it out. Happened the other afternoon when heading home from work, still daylight, and this morning on the way to work.

Happens to me all of the time when driving during the day on a tree-lined street. The lights are constantly switching on and off. The sensors are too sensitive. The slightest shade on the dash will turn the lights on.

Did you ever figure out the issue?
