There was a long thread about this a few months back. The summery - yes, people use it. Might not doing anything for a vehicle with a lot of miles, it's best used as a preventative to stop the buildup in the first place/maintenance.

Thanks just read it , I bought a couple of cans & I may give it a go I’m at 55,000 kms = 34,000 miles.
