CPO Warranty Explanation

So I am a little confused on the CPO warranty because KIA does not specifically call out the original 5yr basic Warranty under the CPO website. All they say is the 10 year powertrain is reinstated, and a 1 year platinum warranty is added, along with some other things. What about the 5 year basic? A normal used Kia would have the 5yr basic still intact, so I assume the CPO would be no different. In the case of a buying a barely used car, the 5 year basic would outlast a 1 year platinum, so it would make the CPO a worse choice (in that category only) if the basic was not also reinstated.
