check engine light "flukes"

So idk about a solution more of shared experiences. Just this month I've had 2 check engine lights that were wrapped up to be "flukes", one was 3 misfires all in one bank, cleared the code and hasnt happened since. This time it was p2138, complete loss of power, was advised by my veryyyy trusted auto shop to clear it, drive back roads for awhile and see if it returns, it didn't. I was fully prepared to buy the sensor and replace it that night. I love my car but she keeps giving me heart attacks.
