I took my GT2 out for a track day last year, it was the first time i've taken this car out and one issue i had was that there were times when i was forgetting to shift....I'd be heading down the straight with my foot mashed to the floor and the car would stop accelerating but if i listened closely i could hear the engine bouncing off the rev limiter. The problem was that I was on the track with stock exhaust, wearing a helmet and had other loud cars around me, all of that was drowning out the sound of my engine. Also shifting this car isn't a habit for me.

So i got this shift light to help me remember to upshift, I made a mounting bracket out of a metal bracket used to connect wood studs and then velcro to attach it to both the dash and back of the screen.

As far as wiring it up, it needs the standard power and ground connections and then two others for road speed and for engine speed (RPM). The road speed is used for calculating which gear you're in and it has a learning mode where you drive it thru gears 1-8 then it's ready. For the shift light you need to set a start RPM when the lights start lighting up and then an end RPM where the lights go red and flash. All of the menus and setup on this unit is done with a single button so there's lots of instructions on how to set it up.

I dug thru the schematics to find the connections for road speed and engine speed, they're both on the "K" connector on the ECU. Pins 38 and 72:

Here's the K connector and in order to get the cap off and access the wires you gotta stick a small screw driver in the little hole on each side of the cap.
