I have a 2022 Stinger GT-Line and the service interval for oil changes is set to 8000 miles/365 days. The miles and days are greyed out so I cannot change them. I can press reset but all that does is changes it back to 8000/365.

I am on the gulfcoast of Florida and bought the car from a dealership on the east coast of Florida. I called them and they told me that the car was still in "dealer mode" and that is why I can't change the interval to my own setting. They told me to go to a KIa dealership to have them unlock it. So I did that today and they hooked up their tablet and all that to the car to "unlock" it but they couldn't figure out how to do it. 3 different people tried and no luck.

Is this really a setting that can't be changed?

I don't pay much attention to that other than resetting after an oil change. Keep a spreadsheet with your maintenance and call it a day.

That's "amusing" that "dealer mode" cannot be edited by the dealer. I have read on the forum that from '22 the service interval is not editable by the driver. Why? Yet another change that KIA made that makes no sense.

On the My 23 Stinger GT, service interval comes up under "cluster" not "convenience"

On the Home screen

Tap Vehicle Icon, then
Cluster Icon, then,
Service Interval, then
Tick the check box marked "enable service interval" That changes the greyed out distance and duration
Touch each and it brings up a keypad to set them.

I presume on your screen you tapped the "service interval"........

and try looking under "cluster" also
