Per the subject, straight methanol will cause aluminum to corrode pretty badly. Will running a water/meth kit destroy the aluminum in the engine or FMIC? I have a BMS FMIC which has a port for the WMI on the cold side which I am using. I know for sure that after driving, a small amount of boost juice or whatever you are using will be pooled in a spot on the intercooler outlet. With it being mixed with water does that stop it from damaging aluminum or long term can I expect a hole in my intercooler?
