I purchased the bumper reflector lights and had them installed last Oct by myself and with the help of YouTube. Unfortunately, one of the led bulbs isn’t turning on and I reached out to k8stinger. They told me what to do, but I’m not too savvy with wiring. This is what was said :

What you will need to do is disconnect the LED driver that is working perfectly on the passenger side, and wire it to the bumper reflector on the driver side that has one of the LEDs out. Once you have wired it to the driver side, if the one LED that is out comes back on again, then that tells us that it’s the LED driver that has malfunctioned, not the actual bumper reflector light itself.

So what I’m asking is, am I supposed to cut the black thing from the passenger side and connect it to the driver side?

I believe your understanding is correct.

They are essentially asking you to confirm the diagnosis by removing the known to be good driver module, and connecting it to the defective LED module. If the problem remains on the LED module, this would confirm there's something defective in the LED module.

They just want to isolate and confirm which single part is defective, so they can replace the correct part for you.

I have to do this tomorrow. What was the outcome? Was it the drivers or the bulb? Was the part plug and play?
