Hey, I've picked up the Brembo calipers from the GT's to install into my 2022 GT-Line. I'm having them powdercoated and none of the powdercoaters want the liability of stripping the calipers down and rebuilding them. My mechanic will do it, but is afraid of tearing something and it might not be a good idea to try to reuse them anyways. The calipers I got off Ebay are in great shape- supposedly from a 2020.
Can someone definitively list the boots and seals I'll need to rebuild them please. I called a Kia parts guy, but they're asking for a VIN, for which my model won't work. I'll need both fronts and rears.
Has anyone successfully completed a caliper rebuild? Would you say the dust boots can be reused. The seals seem cheap enough to replace, but the boots are nearly $40 each- so they add up to $160 per front calipers. I don't want to order any extras if it can be helped.
Thanks
