Brand new Stinger GT problem

I have a brand new Kia stinger GT (less than 500 miles and a week old). On day 3 it developed a fairly significant rattle (sounds like a penny on the dashboard) that appears to be coming from the steering area. Also when the car is in park now the steering wheel does not lock and can turn the wheels. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with a new Stinger ?

Welcome aboard and sorry for your trouble right off the bat. Take it in ASAP. My steering doesn’t completely lock like my Honda did. I haven’t forced it but its soft. My Honda snapped in and locked when parked.

That is both a new GT and a new problem! I bet the rattle and failure to lock the steering wheel are related. Once it is fixed, I bet that will never happen again. My worst "failure" was a disconnected left driver's floor mat hook. They removed a panel, snapped the hook back into the floor and I was good. Took less than half an hour. I bet your issue won't take but a quick look inside, and put something to rights (fasten it or replace it).
