• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hey team... a bunch of us had bought this wiring project that turns off the brake lights allowing us to destroy tyres, however a bunch of us also sold it or gave it away as it would bring on forward collision warnings and a bunch of other lights that were somewhat very annoying.

Well today marks one full week without an alert or alarm and i have been happily switching the button on and off at my leisure living my best KIA boost life lol.

What did i do?

I went into settings and turned my forward collision alert off first and then second i made sure the harness was pushed all the way in to the fuse slot properly.

Give it ago... i also discovered that off isnt necessarily off??

Anytime you touch the brakes your lights come on duh but with the switch on, just touching the brakes does not bring them on HOWEVER if you press harder they do!

Blew my mind ... peace.

Before I disabled ISG, I noticed that holding the brakes lightly at a stop would not cause engine shutoff, but pressing more firmly would, suggesting the car has a way to detect either pedal or brake line pressure. I wonder if that's what's involved here.
