Hi there,

I just installed my cold air intakes I got with a jb4 package by bms, the heat shields don't line up with the factory air bottom box that it says its supposed to. The plastic pieces that are bottom clips for the air box lids are stopping the heat shield from going down all the way. They had me take off the clip that puts the bottom and top together but the bottom part of that clip doesn't come off. So I'm left with the heat shield scraping up against the tubes and the strut braces pushing on the intake filters.

Anyone have this issue, do I just cut off the bottom clips with a blade? Instructions don't say anything about this.
Only attached pics from one side but having similar issues on other side

Mine sits just like that too. Just thought it was the way it was. if you fiddle around with the pipe, twisting it a bit either way, you should be able to eliminate the pipe touching the heatshield situation, but it is super close on the driver's side. I'm not sure how to fix the fact the strut braces touch the filters. Mine's been on for say 5k miles with no issue though.
