Bought my Stinger in October of 22. Used 2018 GT1 AWD with 52K on it with full service records. When I finally made the decision to but one it took me 6 mos to find the car I wanted. It had to have AWD, HK audio, and red leather, so GT1 or GT2 didn't matter. Problem I ran into was new or used they were flying off the lots. Black wasn't my first choice (love it but it gets dirty so damn easy), but found one that fit everything I wanted at my local Carmax dealership. Pulled the trigger and bought it that day.

Funny thing was they had a Red GT1 RWD and a white GT Line on the lot too. Before I could even think about test driving the GT1 RWD somebody was already filling out the paperwork on it when I got back from my test drive. Salesman told me the GT Line was reserved for a customer test drive the next day. See what I mean about them flying off the lot?

I absolutely love this car. It's 100% stock, but after reading this forum for research I've ordered a Stillen catback exhaust and Stillen intakes for it. Once they are in I'll get it tuned and then add a JB4.

The only complaints I have about my Stinger are cosmetic. Previous owner tried to black it out by peeling the chrome from the grill trims, the roof trim, then plasti dipped the chrome mirror covers. The mirrors only came up because discovered during the test drive the driver mirror didn't always open on approach like it should. Took it back in and they ordered a new mirror, OEM mirror came in in smoked chrome. They were nice enough to remove the plastidip from the passenger side and polish it up so they at least matched. So I've been pricing getting everything that was originally chromed wrapped in gloss black. Besides that and the need to rebadge it, this car is going to be with me for a very long time.

I live in the KC area and have only seen 4 other Stingers since buying it. If anyone else on here is from the area, let me know. Would love to hear from you and about your Stingers.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! And congratulations on your Stinger GT. What did the Stinger replace for you?

The Stinger is my step up from a 2015 Sonata Sport. It was quick and nimble, but I just wanted more power and fell in love with the look and performance of the Stinger.

Nice upgrade. The Sonata is a nice car. The whole midsize segment has really improved over recent years. But the Stinger is definitely a big step up. :)

Hey CMY1013,

Glad to see you are jumping in on the conversations!

Congrats on purchasing your Aurora Black 2018 Stinger GT1!

When I purchased my 2019 GT1, I too had some issues with the chrome trim.

We carry a lot of carbon fiber parts that will help you cover up the less-than-desirable areas.

When you have some time check out our aftermarket and OEM Kia Stinger products at www.K8StingerStore.com.
