I just got tint applied to my rear windshield and upon picking my car up it said the trunk was open no matter if I closed the latch by fingers or shut the trunk firm. I’ve had tint placed on the window before without issues and don’t understand why it’s causing a problem now. I have a 2022 Kia Stinger GT1.

That has nothing to do with the tint check your latch.
How much water did they installer get into the latch when they squeegee your tint

I assume a lot since he said the car was done at 11 and I picked it up at 4:45 with water dripping down as soon as I opened it and all over the lower weatherstripping. He said he can call his guy at Kia tomorrow but I was hoping for an easy fix now however it is still under warranty

Poor installer to have water dripping of when you receive the car. Good luck
