I am going to purchase a base model GT as soon as they are available in my area and will likely upgrade the 9 speaker audio. I have been doing some research and I plan to upgrade to a simple 4 speaker + a subwoofer option from JL audio. JL actually recommends coaxial speakers over component (splits) in many applications and this should save time and money on the installation.

The proposed system would be a JL audio FiX86 (DSP that sums removes the OEM EQ and outputs a flat signal.

5 channel amplifier
4 x 6.5 JL audio C2-650x
1 TW3 10 inch woofer in a sealed box

This would be a straightforward 4 speaker system + a sub which i think would significantly outperform the stock for around 2K before installation costs.

My question is how does the ASD factor into this equation? Can i disable this feature? Could you simply not add the ASP output into the FiX 86?
