Apply CarPlay echo during phone call

I’m pretty new to my Kia stinger. Every time I make a phone call the other party hears themselves echo during the call.. I’ve turned down the volume inside the car and that doesn’t seem to help unless the volume is at a level that I can’t hear them. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?
