This is one of those little nagging things I'm mad I can't figure out or solve, maybe you guys can lend a hand.

I use Carplay for music and podcasts, but when I stop and get out I unplug my phone and then get out. But when I unplug it the radio or Serius kicks in - often on some shitty song I don't want to be the last thing I heard. Am I missing some obvious step to not have this take place?

THANKS in advance for saving my ears some trauma.

Turn the car off first, or at least, the entertainment system.

unfortunately because you unplug while still running, it will revert back to Radio.
if you Bluetooth it over, it wont though.

but as eflyguy just mentioned, turn the car off first, then unplug

Not sure if it does this or not, but many cars have radios that continue to play even after the car is shut down. Opening the car door will shut it off.

If the Stinger does this, wait to unplug until after you open the door...

I think it reverts to the last input used. Maybe leave it on a station you don’t mind hearing. Or, turn off the car and pop open the door before you unplug your phone. That will shut the radio down before it changes inputs

Thanks everyone. Kind of a silly question, but I appreciate it.
