Anyone tried rain strips on the doors

Hi all
So when it rains (every day in the UK), the door sills get dirty water on them because the seals are on the inside edge of them (does that make sense). You can buy stick-on strips to address this. Has anyone tried them? Are they any good? Also, I can find them everywhere in black, but my Stinger is white so I'd prefer white strips (if they're any good).
Any ideas/receommendations please?
