Anyone have experience with Wagner air scoops?

I'm in need of new air scoops and am unsure of which one to get. I like the fact that the wagner scoops aren't immediately visible and that they're carbon fiber, but their product description says I need their intercooler as well? Can anyone confirm if I need it to install them? And do they actually have any benefits over the big mouth scoops or is there basically no difference?

I personally wouldn't do it for $450...pretty sure the differences between that and the competitor(s) are negligible...

May as well buy a 3d printer (or hush hush private message someone) and make your own using the thingiverse template.
