an experiment to find air temperatures in engine bay

From what I understand the Velossa is a ram air intake, which if I remember my physics correctly will actually involve air being compressed and the air charge heating.
The air won't be compressed like that. More like a load of cool air ready to be consumed.

Now the air that's compressed from the turbos is heated, thus the intercooler.

My thoughts...

The food grilling temp probe can't react to temp changes quickly...
As soon as car is moving - the hot engine bay air is replaced with ambient-ish temps...

The true temp to be concerned with is actual air inlet temp at T/B. A more effective intercooler will impact this the most. A code reader can monitor this while driving...
