Just installed the AEM CAI that I purchased from Amazon - 2 day delivery. It had good reviews and looked like a simple DIY.

Quality is good and fitment is reasonable

All in it took me about 90 minutes with a couple of beverage breaks

Items noted during install:
  • Instructions should be reviewed and understood ahead of time. I dove right in and while I followed the steps, I did miss a couple of items and had to back track.
  • The orientation of the factoring spring clamps required a slightly different disassembly process as they were not always accessible without removing a component before the instructions called for it.
  • The AEM supplied rubber couplings were a bit loose on the turbos which required torqueing the banjo clamps pretty tight
  • The AEM plastic vent fitting on the drivers side is a bit small for the factory hose and also required torqueing the supplied banjo clamp pretty tight
  • The driver's side enclosure was a bit tight to fit the air filter and I had to remove the bolts to get it to slide in. No issues were encountered on the passenger side.
  • Getting the BOV hoses re-installed required trial and error, the passenger-side one moves to the driver's side and the fit is not perfect due to the shape of the hose. The driver's side moves to the passenger side and needs to be trimmed. I would prefer molded hoses, but understand the cost is likely prohibitive.
The improvement in sound is excellent - it's nice to hear the turbos spool and the BoVs. They also look good under the hood. While I am always skeptical about claimed HP/Torque gains, AEM provided a dyno sheet to support the claim.
