LordKOTL made a post about the active sound setting which may impact the sub woofers under the seat not working but I can't find it.
I can confirm on tests today that even though the active sound setting (artificial engine noise piped into the cabin may off) it has no effect on the sub woofers working.
The sub woofers rarely work anyway unless exactly the right deep base track is playing and even then you can only tell they are working if you do the dollar bill test (lotto ticket test as dollar bills arent here any more and a coin wont do it ha ha).
