Last week I got into my Stinger and, after shifting into drive, noticed the front camera of the 360 camera system was flickering with many green lines, almost like static. After about 2-3 minutes of watching this.... purple screen. The camera didn't function. Turning the car on and off seemed to have no impact on this, but there were occasions when the camera flicked into static filled life.
As I try to avoid any dealer at all costs, I figured I'd remove the front bumper and try to unplug and re-plug the connectors to see if that helps. Luckily removing the bumper is a fairly simple job and I had the two connectors apart in no time. When you look at them, the camera data cable is essentially a miniature coax cable with the small thin, gold plated, wire in the center. I slightly bent this center wire to hopefully make a better connection and put a very small dab Deoxit Gold on as well. Repeated for the second connector and put everything back together. Seems to have fixed the situation. Hopefully the flicker doesn't come back!
