Hey guys, I had the opportunity to lend Borla my 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Edition as an R&D car to create an active valve exhaust system for those of us who wish to keep the valve. I went ahead and captured as much footage as possible and giving as much comparison between the valve opened and closed as well as how the exhaust sounds overall inside and outside the vehicle. Yes I know the video is long but it should help those of you who can't decide on what exhaust to get make and better decision if this exhaust is right for you, there are timestamps so you can jump to specific parts of the video quickly. Hope you guys enjoy the video and I will answer whatever questions I can.

Thanks sooooooooo much! Checking it out now. You sound like the Topher, if you've ever watched his videos, haha.

No problem my guy, been wanting to make a video on the car anyways and it felt right to make one after the exhaust anyways. I actually took inspiration from his videos and tedwards videos. I like their formula.

Finished the video. Thanks again bro. You'll be Borla's biggest salesman for this exhaust. I doubt any video they put out will be as thorough. I'm pretty much sold on it, but will still depend on how much $$$ they will charge. We'll see.

Also I'm hella jealous of those canyon roads! It doesn't look like the pipes extend as far into the stock tips like the stock exhaust does. Is that your observation as well?

Thanks for watching! Haha I always hated how exhaust videos don't exactly go in depth and I wanted to change that. If you are going to spend 2k or more I wanna know the details haha.

Little T is practically in my backyard, so are all the Malibu canyons so I'm pretty spoiled haha. The pipes look to be close to the same length as OEM stock so the opportunity to extend them a lot further is there.

Yeah, I wish someone did a similar MBRP video to yours! Prior to Stinger I had a 2019 V6 Camaro with the optional (factory) NPP exhaust. I loved that exhaust so much and have been trying to find one for the Stinger that sounds similar. Granted, it's not an apples to apples comparison because the its NA versus Turbo V6. But so far the Borla seems to be the closest sound that I am looking for. The Camaro was more raspy, which I didn't like at first but grew to love. Example in this video from exterior camera:

If a Stinger exhaust could replicate that I'd be in heaven. But Borla seems the closest from what I've heard thus far, so that's probably where my money will go.

If someone could do that maybe we would have a better sense to how much better the valve actually makes a difference because it's mixed opinions on it. People who own it both say it doesn't make a difference whiles others do, but okay how do we know where the engine speed is at, etc etc. I always said those V6 Camaros sounded pretty good for a V6. Definitely on the raspy side and borla being higher pitched on the stinger can come off raspy but to me doesn't really sound raspy at all.

Forgot to ask this previously. Did you ever drive with the fake engine noise ('Active Sound Design') turned on? Did you happen to have it on when recording your videos? It didn't sound like it but I wanted to be sure.

If you've used it before, how does it sound on the loudest setting when compared to Borla, in cabin?

I turn it on occasionally in my car but the fact that it's fake really bothers me and I turn it back off lol.

If I am being honest, I can't hear any difference with it on and off. The Borla for the most part drowns it out. I could barely even hear it stock if I am being honest though and made very little difference.

No problem, I notice the difference if I put it on the strongest setting, in Sport mode. The other settings not so much. If the Borla is loud enough to drown it out that's great.
