Does anybody know what the range of motion on a 2021 Stinger GT2 easy access seat should be? I find very little difference between the normal and extended settings. When the seat is adjusted behind the B Pillar ( Drivers side window opening ) and the car is switched off the seat does not move at all. When the seat is adjusted ahead of the B pillar and the car is switched off the seatback will move rearward until it is even with the B pillar. This is not even close to the full range of travel for the seat and makes entry and egress more difficult.

I had a 2017 KIA Cadenza and when turned on, the easy access seat moved to its most rearward position upon turning the ignition off.

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

I wish I could point you to the exact thread I'm thinking about: somebody explained that how far back the "easy access" position goes to is relative to the driver's seat setting, and is not a set spot in the total range of movement of the seat.

Easy access has 3 settings:
1. Off - seat does not move
2. Normal - seat moves a short distance
3. Extended - seat moves a longer distance.

2 and 3 distance travel is pre-set and cannot be adjusted however once either reaches max you can manually move the seat to full retraction which is about 3-4cm further than pre-set 3.

Thanks for the input. From what I am hearing, my seat is working as designed. The difference between the range of motion between this and my Cadenza is the difference between a full size and a mid size car.

I think it is unfortunate that KIA did not design the seat to move a little more rearward when the easy access is activated on the Stinger.
