Subaru just introduced their 2020 Legacy on their new global platform. The car is said to be stronger and quieter that before and offers some new features to make it a compelling buy. Nice interior, larger infotainment, remote start, heated and cooled street and an XT version with a 2.4T engine. Yes, turbo is back.

I so would have bought that car if they had it.

I saw this news the day I was trading my 2009 Legacy GT in on a 2018 Stinger. I looked at Subaru and couldn't find anything I really wanted. My wife wasn't exactly thrilled by the idea of a WRX as a family car (too noisy, too harsh). The Stinger makes a much better touring car.

It doesnt look good to me

A lot of manufacturers are staying safe with their designs these days. They are keeping the new vehicle similar to the last design by making it immediately recognizable to the outgoing model, while improving the look slightly and making it better all around. KIA has done this with the Optima, Sportage and Sorento, the Europeans are doing it, Audi and BMW comes to mind here (probably brands that do it more than anyone else). By making the interior quieter, providing features that Hyundai and KIA has been offering for a few years now and adding an updated powertrain that is efficient brings it into my crosshairs as a car to look at for a future purchase.

The look is evolutionary outside but the interior is entirely new and eye catching, my main concern is that screen. It looked laggy in videos and I hope when it come to market it does better as Volvo does the same and their first gen has a lot of complaints. I hope the performance with the turbo is good and would love if they did a GT version as back in the old days. They should have made it closer to the concept vehicle but hey, it's not a bad evolution.
