2018 GT Limited (Canadian) In the States- Key Fob, App?

I purchased a 2018 GT Limited over the summer that now lives with me in the midwest- Unfortunately, I only have one key fob and the local dealership is totally hands-off, won't touch it. Anyone have experience or suggestions on how to get another one? I bought an after-market fob without realizing that it's different country to country.



Additionally (and less important), has anyone in my scenario gotten the app running? Downloaded the Canadian APK but it won't seem to work itself out.

I'm in the same situation with the app. I've contacted dealers and kia service in both countries with no luck. I was told the app runs on Canadian cell towers. I'm not sure if it's possible to swap a component for a U.S. spec or if there is U.S. specific software for the car. Might be worth looking into. Even if that does work, the VIN is still Canadian and might be locked through the VIN.

Never tried getting it to work, to be honest. I'm not sure if anyone ever got it working but the hoops you have to jump through just to try enable it aren't worth the functionality it brings in my opinion.
