2018 Base Stinger Speaker Upgrade Question

Anyone see any issues with upgrading just the speakers? I'm not looking for audiophile quality, but these paper speakers are brutally hard to live with.

All that I am looking to do is replace the door speakers with something with better quality, like JBL with hopes to make the sound better.

Hoping for plug and play, old-school speaker swap.

Thoughts?

I'd say that if the OE speakers are "brutally hard to live with", that makes you an audiophile.

I remember one thread a year and a half ago, more or less, that went on for quite a number of pages about upgrading the speakers and more. It was a project being shared by a member who really knew his stuff. He even built his own subwoofer box that took up part of the hatch.
