Hi guys,

I just registered here! I am trying to lease 2.0T Premium AWD with drive wise package. I wanted 0 out of pocket and 12k/year for 36 months. I spent some time negotiating and here is what i got, please let me know what you guys think.

Initial quote was:
MSRP - 42200
Sale Price - 40977
Total cap cost - 35242
RV - 20678
MF - .00235
Monthly - $595 (with 8% tax)

Then was I able to bring that further down to $544 per month all inclusive.

Thanks,

Welcome, Kim Hyun Joon! You are looking at getting exactly the same vehicle setup I have!

The selling price seems to vary based on market area and specific dealer - prices are lower in areas where dealers are prepared to compete for our business. If you can get $3,000 off MSRP for the Premium AWD with DWP, that will still leave the dealer a reasonable gain on the transaction.

Also, the money factor of .00235 the dealer has quoted you is high - if your credit is reasonably good, the standard MF for this car is .00195. (KIA allows dealers to try to pad an extra .00040 onto the MF as extra profit, but that's negotiable.) Residual of $20,678 looks correct.

Bottom-line, if you are buying in a market area where dealers are willing to compete to make the sale and if you have good credit, you might be able to work the dealer down to a monthly payment of $500/month or perhaps a bit less. License, registration and any junk fees would raise that some.

Hope this helps; good luck. As my Korean friends here in Seattle say, "Fighting!!!"

Welcome aboard, @Hyun Joon Kim! Thank you for signing up. I think @SEA Stinger is giving you some great advice above. Let's see if anyone else chimes in. What will your Stinger be replacing?

Thanks for the replies! Honestly, I think stinger lease deals right now are just utter crap. Low RVs, high MFs.. Would it make more sense to purchase/finance? What OTD price should i shoot for? Looks like stinger 2.0t Premium AWD with drive wise invoices at around 40k flat (figure from costco auto).

I will be replacing a 07 Camry Hybrid 50th Anniversary Edition XD
